On Tomtom's website your unit lists as an XL with 1GB of memory. However their list is a little unclear if maps for USA are available, However the website does not list every model version.there are two version of maps for USA one is for older units and the size is about 770mb which would fit your unit.

To find out for certain if the 770mb map will work with your unit you need to install tomtom's Home Software on your pc. Here is a link to download this software. Before installing Home its a good idea to turn off your Antivirus software. When you connect your gps to the computer, Home will probably tell you that you need to install some updates. I t is best not to allow any updates until you have made a backup of what you presently have loaded on the gps. Here is a good link to show you how to create a backup using windows explorer.
After you have made a backup you can use Home with your gps attached to determine what maps are available. To add maps you will probably first have to remove the existing map to make room using Home's 'manage my device' ---- another good reason to backup. After you install the new map make a new and different backup of the memory ---- Now you can easily switch between the two maps by just load whichever backup that you want. The main reason for making backups via windows explorer instead of using Home which can perform these same functions is that Home sometimes doesn't behave.or if you need to uninstall then reinstall home you might lose the copies of files that Home stored away.
